Back in 1983 someone did music lovers in Michiana a big favor. Harvey Stauffer was asked to sit in--for one week--on a music program on WVPE. The next thing I knew, I was hosting it, Stauffer recalls. After 35 years as the producer and host for The Blues Revue, Stauffer admits he hasn't always been a blues fan. Born in Chicago, Illinois on May 15, 1952, he claims he used to be a rock-and-roller. But one day, at 15, he walked into an Elkhart record store, saw the BB King Live at the Cook County Jail, bought it, and has been hooked on Blues ever since.

Totally Wired Radio (or TWR) is an independent, specialist internet station founded in April 2019 by the seminal east London record label Acid Jazz. The radio takes its name from the Totally Wired series of compilations, compiled by label boss Eddie Piller and his original partner, the fellow DJ Gilles Peterson. The compilation series became a byword for creative eclecticism which perfectly reflects the eclectic music championed by TWR. TWR’s talented roster of professional broadcasters play progressive, left-field and specialist music that had been ignored by the mainstream stations. We are on air 24 hours a day, 7 hours a week and are listened to in 92% of countries in the world with an average base of approximately 15,000 listeners – an extraordinary achievement for a new digital station with no marketing budget. The growth has been organic and purely by word of mouth
